How to Stop Internet Explorer 11 from Suggesting Sites?

Dec 24, 2013

Internet Explorer automatically suggests addresses and search results based on the partial address you're typing out.

If this feature irritates you, follow the next steps to learn how to turn it off.

1. Open the Internet Options dialog.

2. Go to the Content tab and click the Settings button in the AutoComplete section.

3. Uncheck Suggesting URLs and confirm the dialog.

Once you know where to look, banishing the annoying suggestions is dead simple.

Mission accomplished.
